Students homeless after streaking in NUS

March 11, 2009 NUS students who had gotten drunk after a party streaked from their hostel to another hostel on the NUS campus have been barred from the hall, leaving them homeless. The NUS students are one among the many student strekers in the enter world, from Westwood campus' Undie Run to Xavier College's yearly "muck up day". Reactions varied from supportive to a total blanket ban. The NUS students were very lucky to have got off so lightly, they could easily have been expelled, or even handed over to the police. Streaking is uncivilised behaviour and it is also considered as unethical. It is also considered as illegal.

Streaking is considered as uncivilised behaviour, as it lacks the dignity of civilised people, these people are usually considered as barbaric and will deface the reputation of the school. Many Singaporeans have already expressed concerns over the incidence and the ability of the school to maintain discipline. This will lead to a great decrease in quantity and quality of the students in Singapore's best university. The result will be devastating and Singapore's rating will plummet. This leads to accelerated brain drain with no new brains to fill the gaps.

Streaking is also unethical. Most religions have barred streaking as it is crude and undesirable. It also exposes other young children who are not suited to some things. Despite the fact that the chance of young children being on the campus is extremely low, the unethical behaviour is still despicable. Many students have complaint about being rudely greeted with nude students from another hostel. These students were extremely inconsiderate and did not realise the consequences of their actions.

These students have been extremely irresponsible and should therefore be punished. Most Singaporeans agree that they had gotten off very lightly with their offences and should have been expelled. The students had not only done possible psychological damage to others, but also defaced their school.
